Auringonkukkia

Tänä vuonna istutimme auringonkukansiemeniä puutarhaan. Ja niistähän sitten kasvoi auringonkukkia. Ei niitä ole kuin muutama, mutta ne ovat hauskoja ja pitkiä.

This year we had planted Sunflower seeds in the garden. And then they grew into Sunflowers. We only have few, but they are fun and really tall.


Olin tähtäilemässä kamerallani, kun huomasin oudon heijastuksen kuvaruudulla. Ensin luulin sitä auringonsäteeksi, koska aurinko oli juuri laskemassa tämän kukan takana. Mutta kun tarkistin kameran linssin, huomasin kaksi kamalaa naarmua.

I was aiming at the flowers when I noticed a strange reflection on the screen. First I thought it would be a ray of sun, as the sun was just setting behind this flower. But when I looked at the lens of the camera, I saw two horrible scratches.



Koska olen erittäin kypsä aikuinen, muistutin miestäni, että hän osti kameran ja päätti jättää suojakotelon ostamatta. Itselleni tuli parempi olo (tässä on yksi ihmisluonteen suurista totuuksista). Jätän huomiotta seikan, että yleensä kannan kameraa käsilaukussani, jossa se tekee pesää kaikenmaailman roinan kanssa kun matkustamme ympäri maailmaa.

Because I am amazingly mature adult, I reminded my husband that when he purchased the camera, he decided not to purchase the case. It made me feel better (here is one of the truths of the human nature). I ignore the fact that I usually keep the camera in my purse among tons of stuff when we travel around the world.

Päätin jatkaa kuvausta, mutta naarmu ei hävinnyt. Tuossa se on keskellä kukkaa.

I decided to continue taking photos but the scratch did not go away. You can see it in the middle of the flower.
